Awareness of Preventive Measures of Accident Among Primary School Pupils in Oyo West Local Government Area, Oyo State

This study examined awareness of preventive measures of accident among primary school pupils in Oyo West Local Government Area of Oyo State. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population consisted of primary school pupils in Oyo West Local Government Area. A total of 240 pupils were selected from eight primary schools using simple random sampling for schools and purposive sampling for pupils. A self-developed questionnaire titled Awareness of Accident Preventive Measures was used. Data were analysed using simple percentages and frequency count. Findings showed that 86.67% of respondents had high awareness of accident preventive measures while 13.3% had low awareness. The study concluded that pupils are aware of accident preventive measures.
