Application of Digital Tools for Teaching Health Education: Challenges and Suggestions for Optimal Utilisation
Abstract
This paper examined the application of digital tools for teaching health education, their challenges and suggestions for optimal utilization. Digital tools can transform health education by improving access to resources, engagement and learning outcomes. E-learning platforms, mobile apps and social media are increasingly used to deliver health education in schools and communities. These tools support flexible learning, personalized content and student management of health behaviours in nutrition, mental health and physical activity. However, challenges such as inadequate technology access, privacy concerns and need for specialized training hinder widespread adoption. Suggested solutions include phased implementation, ongoing training and cross-functional collaboration.
