Risky Sexual Behaviour Among Secondary School Students in Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone of Ebonyi State

Abstract

This study focused on risky sexual behaviour among secondary school students in Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone of Ebonyi State. It was guided by four research questions and three hypotheses and adopted descriptive survey research design. The population was 13,166, with 395 participants selected through multistage sampling. The Risky Sexual Practices Questionnaire with reliability coefficient 0.92 was used. Results showed high risky sexual behaviour among secondary school students. There was no significant gender difference and class level difference, but significant difference was found based on age. The study recommended continuous public enlightenment on healthy sexual behaviour for students.
