Trends and Practices of Environmental Health Education: The 21st Century Challenges

This paper examined the trends and practices of environmental health education and the challenges in the 21st century. Concepts of environmental health education and practices, 21st century challenges, factors affecting environmental health education in the 21st century and the role of ICT and policy in environmental health education were discussed. It was concluded that environmental health education needs to be improved and strengthened in order to address the challenges of the 21st century. It was recommended that environmental health education should be incorporated into school curricula and that policies should be put in place to support environmental health education.
