NIGERIAN SCHOOL HEALTH JOURNAL

Editorial to Volume 37, No 2 June 2025

A big congratulation to SHEPAN (formerly NSHA) for the 50th anniversary holding at this year’s conference and for the production of 37th edition of this journal. I wish to thank all founders of the association and that of the journal most of those I happened to have met or worked with though many have passed on. They gave all they needed to do to keep the association and the journal alive. We thank God that the legacy they left is religiously being defended   despite numerous challenges. I am so glad to be associated with the journal as member of the editorial team for about 25 years. For this edition, there are impactful and informative articles.  As usual, I feel highly honoured to see to the release of Volume 37, Number 2, June 2025 edition of this journal to the warm anticipatory hands of its reading public.

This edition is also very educative and  contains many articles like; Factors Influencing Mental Health Awareness among Adults in Benin Metropolis, The Role of ICT   in Health Promotion (HP): A Perspective on Physical Activity (PA) and Wellness Information, Health Promotion through Adult Education: A  Precursors for Sustainable Development, AI-Driven Healthcare: Assessing the Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Health Education, Health Promotion and Health Management of Athletes, Emergency Preparedness in School Health Services: A Study of Secondary Schools, Teaching Professionalism in Health Education Towards Growth/Development as Perceived among Tertiary Institutions Health Educators, Effectiveness of School-Based Health Education in Promoting Healthy Behaviours among Adolescents and  Knowledge Attitude and Practice of Checking Food Labels among Pre-Service Teachers.

I thank all authors, papers assessors, members of the Editorial Team and our press for their dedication over the years to ensure the continuous production of the journal for the past 36 years despite associated challenges. It is hoped that this edition will meet the needs of students, researchers and policy makers in advancing knowledge in health related issues.
